5-star Nile cruise ship sailing the river between Luxor and Aswan

This week's rate

Egypt Holiday Deals

One rate, agreed direct with the vessel operator, reviewed every week by our Cairo office. No third-party mark-up, no rate that changes the moment you get in touch.

Why we only list what we can hold

Most package holiday "deals" pages are the same handful of cruises, relabelled

Search for an Egypt holiday deal and you'll mostly find the same routes being resold through several UK agents at several different mark-ups. We're the ground operator, not a reseller, so what's listed here is the rate we've agreed directly with the vessel for a fixed set of dates — nothing added on the way through a middleman. When the dates or the cabins run out, we take the deal down rather than quietly raising the price and leaving it up.

The ground rules

What this rate actually means

Package holiday pricing has a reputation for small print. Here's ours, in full.

Per person, based on two sharing

A solo traveller pays a single supplement on top – we quote it upfront, not after you've asked twice.

Flights aren't included

This is a land-and-river rate. Most of our clients fly EgyptAir or a UK carrier into Cairo and we handle everything from the airport onward – we're happy to advise on routing when you enquire.

The cabin count is real, and finite

This rate is held against a specific allocation on a specific ship. Once it's booked out for these dates, the page comes down rather than quietly rolling over to different dates at the same price.

The list above is the whole list

Nothing held back for the small print. Visas, gratuities and any Cairo extension are the only things not included, and we'll cost those separately if you want them.

Common questions

Egypt travel deals, answered

01 Is this an ATOL-protected package holiday? +

No – Discovery Tours Egypt is the Egyptian ground operator, not a UK travel agency, so this isn't sold as an ATOL-bonded package in the way a UK high-street holiday might be. You book the cruise directly with our Cairo reservations team; if you're arranging your own flights separately, that portion may carry its own ATOL protection through your airline or flight agent. Ask us and we'll explain exactly how the booking is structured before you pay a deposit.

02 Is £690 per person the full price, or is there more to add? +

£690pp (two sharing) covers the cruise itself: full board, the Egyptologist guide, and the listed temple entrance fees. It's a GBP figure converted from our USD net rate with the vessel operator, so we confirm the exact number in writing before you commit. Flights, Egypt visa fees, gratuities and any Cairo add-on are separate and quoted alongside it.

03 What's actually included on board? +

Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), a private Egyptologist guide for every shore excursion, and entrance fees for Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, the Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple. International flights, the Egypt e-Visa, and tipping for crew and guides sit outside the rate – we'll itemise those separately so there's nothing to discover later.

04 Why doesn't the cruise sail on Sundays or Tuesdays? +

That's the vessel's set weekly schedule on this route, not something we've restricted. It sails every other day, so most arrival dates line up – tell us when you land and we'll confirm the nearest departure.

05 How do I actually secure this rate? +

Get in touch through the form on this page with your preferred dates and how many are travelling. We'll hold the cabin against a deposit once you confirm – until then the rate isn't guaranteed, since only a fixed number of cabins carry it.

06 Can I turn this cruise into a full Egypt holiday rather than just the cruise? +

Yes – most people travelling from the UK add 2–3 nights in Cairo either side, for the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Mention it when you enquire and we'll price the Cairo add-on alongside the cruise rate, rather than as a separate booking.

07 Will there be new deals added later? +

Usually, yes. What's on this page reflects whatever rate our Cairo office currently holds with vessel or hotel operators – sometimes one offer, occasionally more than one. We'd rather take a deal down when its dates pass than leave outdated pricing live.
