Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Egypt Discovery (a trading name of Discovery Tours Egypt), a specialist Egypt holiday operator registered at 12 El Obour St., Saleh Salam, Cairo, Egypt. By confirming a booking you accept these terms in full.
Egypt Discovery holds an ETAA Class-A Licence (No. 718) and is IATA-accredited (Licence No. 90255546). References to "we", "us" or "our" mean Egypt Discovery.
Booking and Confirmation
A deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost is required to confirm your booking. A higher deposit — up to 50% — may apply where domestic flights or train tickets are included in your itinerary, or for peak-season departures such as Christmas and Easter. Your booking is confirmed once we have received the deposit and issued written confirmation. Please check your confirmation carefully and tell us in writing within 48 hours if any detail is incorrect.
Financial Protection & Insurance
Egypt Discovery is an Egyptian-licensed Destination Management Company. For flight-inclusive packages, flights are arranged through ATOL-bonded UK partner agencies and the ATOL certificate is issued in the partner agency's name; land-only arrangements are protected by our company terms and IATA accreditation. We strongly recommend all travellers hold comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and repatriation.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include Egyptian VAT where applicable. Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and will not change once your deposit has been received, except where government-imposed tax changes apply.
The balance is due 30 days before your holiday departs. Bookings made within 30 days require full payment at the time of booking. A 3% card processing fee applies to credit and debit card payments; payment by bank transfer avoids this charge.
Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to info@egyptdiscovery.co.uk. The following charges apply based on the notice given before your travel date:

Changes and Amendments
Send amendment requests in writing to info@egyptdiscovery.co.uk. We will do our best to accommodate changes subject to availability. An amendment fee of £25 per change applies once the deposit has been paid. We reserve the right to make minor itinerary changes for operational or safety reasons and will notify you of any significant change before departure.
Our Responsibilities
Egypt Discovery is responsible for arranging and providing the services described in your confirmed itinerary. Our liability is limited to the value of your booking. We are not liable for losses arising from events outside our control, including strikes, civil unrest or natural disasters, nor for loss, damage or delay caused by airlines, hotels or other third-party suppliers acting independently of our arrangements.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring you meet all entry requirements for Egypt, including a valid passport, the relevant visa and any health documentation. Check the latest travel advice from the FCDO at gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice before you travel. Please tell us at the time of booking about any medical conditions, dietary requirements or mobility considerations that may affect your holiday.
Force Majeure
Egypt Discovery is not liable for failure to perform its obligations where the cause is beyond our reasonable control, including war, terrorism, extreme weather, pandemic or government travel restrictions. In such situations we will work with you to find an alternative arrangement or, where the service cannot be delivered, provide a credit note.
Complaints
If something goes wrong during your holiday, tell your guide or our local office straight away so we have the opportunity to put it right. You can reach our operations team on +20 10 9021 5031. If the matter is not resolved locally, please send a written complaint to info@egyptdiscovery.co.uk within 28 days of returning home.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Egypt. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Egyptian courts.
